Wie kürzlich bekannt gegeben wurde, haben LG Electronics und ARM ein Lizenzabkommen geschlossen. Durch dieses Lizenzabkommen hat LG Electronics Zugang zu den hoch entwickelten und energiesparenden CPU-Architekturen und Grafikkernen von ARM. Zu nennen sind hier vor allem die Cortex-A15 MPCore and Cortex-A9 MPCore Prozessoren, sowie die ARM Mali-T604 GPU and ARM CoreLink™.

Der  Cortex-A15 ermöglicht mit bis zu vier Kernen eine Prozessorleistung von bis zu 2,5 GHz. Verwendung finden können CPU- und GPU-Architekturen dieser Art in modernen Smartphones, Tablets oder auch im Home Entertainment Bereich.
