Ihr habt bestimmt schon vom neuen LG-Smartphone OPTIMUS Black gehört, das auf der CES 2011 in Las Vegas zum ersten Mal der Öffentlichkeit präsentiert wurde. Dieses neue Modell zeichnet sich vor allem durch die neue NOVA Display-Technologie aus. Diese ermöglicht eine wesentlich hellere und deutlichere Darstellung als herkömmliche LCD-Displays. Außerdem wird um bis zu 50 Prozent weniger Energie verbraucht, als bei einem vergleichbaren LCD- beziehungsweise AMOLED-Display. Mit einer Display-Diagonale von 10,16 cm (4 Zoll) bietet das LG OPTIMUS Black Platz für jede Anwendung und ist dabei nur 9,2 Millimeter dick.

Doch es gibt noch ein weiteres Highlight, das auf dem LG OPTIMUS Black Premiere feiert: der neue mobile Datenübertragungsstandard Wi-Fi Direct™. Mit Wi-Fi Direct™ ist es möglich, ohne Wi-Fi-Hotspot multimediale Inhalte und Anwendungen auf andere Geräte mit W-LAN zu übertragen. W-LAN also von Gerät zu Gerät. Das ist bisher nicht möglich.
